From the very beginning in 1994, the gallery’s program has had a clear focus on contemporary international art. As a gallery, our role is to help our artists develop their work and careers by successfully placing their works in institutional and private collections, and by giving them exposure at important international exhibitions and fairs. We believe in maintaining an open and honest dialogue with our artists, collectors, and institutions. We cooperate with a network of international contemporary galleries and believe more in collaboration than competition – an approach that we enjoy and that has contributed to our success.

Galerie Zink was founded in January 1994 in Regensburg. In 1999 the gallery moved to Munich, in 2007 we opened a branch in Berlin and started an artist-in-residence project in New York. But in 2017, we made the biggest leap yet when we moved our gallery from Berlin to the 30-soul village between Munich and Nuremberg, a rugged and charming part of Bavaria. Together with the Swiss architects from Atelier Dimanche, we built a new exhibition space in the ensemble of an old vicarage in the most beautiful countryside. This unique location gives us the privilege of simply spending time with artists, clients and visitors. At Galerie Zink you will not only find art and exhibitions, but also experience the place, the surroundings and the people who work here for the arts, true to our credo "Art as an experience we share"!
